- Liquid Reality 0.96
-
- You should unpack the Liquid Reality archive in your Java directory.
- libice.so will be added to the lib/sparc directory; the ice classes will
- be in classes; and Liquid Reality demos are in directories called demo/lr
- and demo/ice.
-
- This version of Liquid Reality should work fine with the JDK 1.0 and the
- JDK beta 2. It has been tested on SparcStations with 8 and 24 bit frame
- buffers. Liquid Reality will definitely not work on mono displays.
-
- To view the demos, go to the demo/ice directory and type:
-
- appletviewer cube.html
-
- This should bring up a window containing a multicolored cube that you can
- rotate by dragging your mouse. If this works, try the Liquid Reality browser
- demo. To start the browser, go to the demo/lr directory and type:
-
- appletviewer viewer.html
-
- Type the URL of a VRML file in the text entry field at the top of the browser
- window. A sample VRML files is included with this distribution. To view
- it, type in the URL 'file:test.wrl'
-
- You can walk around through the world by dragging your mouse on the view
- window. There are controls for viewing mode, rendering quality, motion,
- and headlight brightness beneath the view window. Enabling motion doesn't
- do anything unless you've loaded a VRML file that contains animations.
-
- Here are some cool VRML files to load with the Liquid Reality browser:
